The RB5050LH-ERG-HD is a heavy-duty, long wide-handled ergonomic ratchet buckle with a locking ratchet mechanism, designed for use with 50mm webbing. Unlike standard ratchet buckles, the ergonomic design allows tensioning by pulling the handle downward rather than pushing upward. This reduces strain on the user’s back, while the extended handle and rotating mechanism make applying tension even easier.
With a breaking strength of 5000kg, the RB5050LH-ERG-HD is a robust and reliable ratchet buckle commonly used for restraining lorry straps in road transport. The rotating steel handle enhances ease of use, making it particularly suited for high-tension applications.
The RB5050LH-ERG-HD meets the requirements of the European Load Restraint Legislation Standard EN12195-2:2001, which specifies a lashing capacity of 25kN (2500kg). This capacity is stamped on the ratchet, along with the supplier’s name, GTF®, and the part number RB5050LH-ERG-HD for full traceability. The breaking strength of 5000kg is also marked, indicating the maximum load the buckle can withstand before failure.
Manufactured from carbon steel, the RB5050LH-ERG-HD is designed for use with 50mm webbing. It has a lashing capacity of 25kN and weighs 1800 grams (1.800kg).
For a lighter-weight alternative, we also offer the RB5050LH-ERG-5.
The RB5050LH-ERG-HD ratchet is used in our range of Heavy Duty Ergo Ratchet Straps. GTF® also provides a selection of 50mm end fittings and 50mm polyester webbing that can be used in conjunction with this ratchet buckle.
